OutIn LattoGo FAQs
Below are frequently asked questions, you may find the answer for yourself.
General | Does LattoGo come with a heating feature?
OutIn LattoGo is designed for frothing only and does not have a heating function. It creates barista-quality foam using cold milk. If you wish to make a hot beverage like a latte, please heat the milk separately before frothing it with LattoGo.
General | What is the Smart Silicone Ring for?
It has three main functions:
- It can be secured against the cup rim for stable, hands-free frothing.
- By altering the frother's angle, you can control the air intake for different foam textures.
- It acts as a stand to keep the whisk clean after use.
General | Does hot water come into contact with any plastic parts in the Mino?
Yes, hot water does come into contact with some plastic components. Please rest assured that all materials — both metal and plastic — strictly comply with U.S. FDA food-safety standards, ensuring no harmful substances are released even under high temperatures.
General | What is the frothing whisk made of?
The whisk uses a food-grade Tritan™ material for the head and a durable 304 stainless steel shaft, ensuring safety and longevity.
General | Can it froth cold milk?
LattoGo can froth cold milk, but the microfoam it creates can not support latte art. If you wish to make a hot beverage like a latte, please heat the milk separately before frothing it with LattoGo.
Use | What is the ideal milk temperature for frothing?
Mino can heat 50 ml of room-temperature water (25 °C) to 199.9 °F / 93.3 °C, allowing up to 6 extractions per charge.
Use | Can I use LattoGo to mix protein shakes or other beverages?
LattoGo is designed exclusively for frothing milk. Using it to stir other liquids may damage the device and is not recommended.
Use | Why should the container be filled to a maximum of 40%?
Milk can double in volume during frothing. Filling to only 40% prevents overflow.
Use | What are the two speed modes for?
The two speed modes allow you to customize your foam texture.
- High Speed (↑) increases air intake, creating a thicker, more voluminous foam ideal for cappuccinos.
- Low Speed (↓) reduces air intake, producing a denser, silkier microfoam perfect for latte art.
Use | Can I use it while it's charging?
No, for safety reasons, LattoGo is automatically locked and cannot be operated while connected to a charger.
Use | What kind of milk works best?
Fresh whole milk froths best. Some plant-based milks (like oat or soy) are also compatible, but results may vary.
Use | My milk isn't frothing well. What could be wrong?
- Please ensure you are not using zero-fat or skim milk, as the low fat content significantly hinders foam creation. Fresh, whole milk (full-fat) is recommended for the best, most stable foam.
- For plant-based milk, we highly recommend "barista edition" versions. These are specifically formulated with fats and stabilizers to create a much richer and more stable foam compared to standard varieties.
- Check that the whisk is properly attached.
- Also, make sure you are using an appropriate container.
Use | Can the whisk scratch my ceramic or glass mug?
The frothing whisk is safe for smooth surfaces like glass, ceramic, and stainless steel. However, avoid letting it touch the bottom or sides of containers with rough surfaces to prevent damage.
Charge | What charger should I use?
Use a standard 5V charger and the provided Type-C cable. The maximum charging power is 5W.
Charge | What do the LED indicator lights mean?
- Battery Check (when off): White - battery level ≥50%Orange - battery level ≥20%, <50%Red - battery level <20%
- Charging: White light breathing.
- Frothing On: Light stays on solid.
Charge | What should I do if the frother doesn't turn on even after charging?
First, ensure the charging cable is firmly connected and the port is dry. Press the power button once to check the battery indicator. If there is no light, try a different power outlet. If the issue persists, contact support@outin.com.
Cleaning | Can I submerge the entire LattoGo in water to clean it? Can I use a dishwasher to clean the frothing whisk?
- Only the frothing whisk and shaft are washable (by hand or dishwasher).
- To clean the frothing whisk and its shaft in the dishwasher, ensure the operating temperature is below 85°C (185°F) to protect the Tritan material
- The main body is an electronic device and must only be wiped with a damp cloth.
Cleaning | How should I clean the frother after use?
- Detach the whisk shaft immediately after use.
- Rinse the whisk thoroughly to prevent milk residue buildup.
- Wipe the frother body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Cleaning | Why is it important to rinse the whisk immediately after use?
Milk residue can dry and clog the fine mesh of the patented whisk, which will affect its performance and make it difficult to clean later.
Maintenance | How should I store the LattoGo if I won't be using it for a long time?
If not using the frother for a long time, charge and discharge it every three months. Keep LattoGo and the charging cable in a dry environment. Store them out of reach of children and pets to prevent damage from dropping or bumping.
Safety | Are there any important safety warnings?
Yes. Do not use third-party accessories. Do not operate continuously for extended periods to prevent motor overheating. Do not remove the frother from the liquid while it is running to avoid splashing. The device is intended for adult use.
